OUR STORY

“The name 26 Keys comes from the keys on a typewriter or the keyboard. There are 26 letters, and if you organize them in whatever order, they will unlock the story. They will unlock the idea, the theme, et cetera. It’s amazing how a small number of letters can create infinite stories.”
-Noah Hawley
26 Keys Productions was founded by visionary storyteller Noah Hawley and artist Kyle Hawley with a mission to create cinematic, character-driven stories across film and television. Inspired by their creative upbringings in New York and Texas, Noah and Kyle merged their mutual love of artistic expression and collaborative community to build 26 Keys—a home for bold storytelling and meaningful connection. Proudly rooted in Austin, 26 Keys has established its reputation through significant contributions to acclaimed projects including FX’s Fargo, Legion, Alien: Earth, and the feature film Lucy in the Sky. 26 Keys is committed to nurturing both local and global storytelling communities through education, collaboration, and community-driven events.
OUR IDEOLOGIES
At 26 Keys, our work is guided by a set of core ideologies that shape how we collaborate and contribute to the world around us. These principles reflect the values we live by—both in our storytelling and in the community we are building every day.
- We believe in acting with decency and kindness to inspire and overcome cynicism.
- The values of our lives and our work run in parallel, because the stories we tell inform the community we build and the adults we become.
- We nurture maximum creativity with maximum efficiency. Fiscal responsibility is not the antithesis of creative ambition.
- We embrace the marriage of commerce and art.
- We are always working to remove the mystery and reveal the path toward responsible, civically-engaged adulting.
AUSTIN HQ
The 26 Keys headquarters sits in a 5,900-square-foot space near the Texas Capitol—an Austin home base designed by Kyle Hawley to embody the brand’s spirit: elevated, imaginative, and welcoming. The office features executive spaces, a writer’s room, editing suites, a screening room, and a library for local creatives filled with Noah & Kyle’s carefully curated book collection. The space was recently spotlighted by The New York Times for its distinctive design and forward-thinking vision.
